Kites
This is what i liked doing in lock down this is what out teacher put up for ours to do .

It looks like your class have had some fun learning to do over the last few weeks Lachie! Did you experiment with a few different kites? I wonder which one flew the best....At least the wind has picked up again now so you might be able to try them out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting this work up Lachie! I am super impressed with your investigation work. I think you question about kites being any shape is an interesting one. Perhaps you could try some shapes and see if they work bette or worse? I have seen some huge kites before too! Just a quick note, there is a video that needs to be in your inquiry folder so people can watch it. At the moment it is private.
ReplyDeleteI liked your video Lachie. I wonder what would have happened if you had used a longer string? I also am wondering how much lift you would need to get that dragon head to fly. It would look great wouldn't it? So kites need wind to fly but also it has to be enough force for the weight? I hope you had another go with some decent wind.
